Best Valentine's ever
I am not a very romantic husband, but I try my best every year. However, my wife never ceases to amaze me, with the wonderful surprises she prepares for me. The best Valentine's gift I ever have received was last year, and it was a very special one for me. I bought my wife some flowers, wrote her a card and reserved a table in the fanciest restaurant in town for the night. I was preparing for a nice night when they called me from the restaurant and they said our reservations had been cancelled. My wife was surprisingly not upset at all for that, which I thought at the time it was weird. She suggested that instead we should stay at home, watch a film she just rented, stuff our faces with some popcorn, ice cream and other goodies and snuggle on the couch. So we did. We lie on the couch, she set the DVD player and... what am I looking at? It took me a couple of seconds to realise what I was watching. It was an ultrasound image of a baby?... I am going to be a daddy! I remember the immense joy I felt, it was absolutely awesome. Later my wife confess that she actually called the restaurant to cancel the reservations as she felt she couldn't wait to tell me the good news. This was my best valentines gift ever.
